HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Two people were robbed and shot at, and of them was shot and injured after confronting a neighbor about a counterfeit $100 bill in the Conway area Sunday, according to an Horry County Police report.
A responding officer made contact with victims at Highway 501 and Highway 378 who stated that a shooting incident occurred at Deborah Cir.
One of the victims did have apparent gunshot wounds, the police report states.
The responding officer also observed the other victim's car, which had bullet holes on the passenger side, near the front door. Both windows were shot out, according to the officer.
Shell casings and broken glass were in the roadway as well.
The victim with the gunshot wounds said that a neighbor paid him with a counterfeit $100 bill and he was going to get the rest of his money back. He said that when he arrived three unknown black males tried to rob him and they exchanged gunfire.
The victim said that his firearm was in the vehicle and the responding officer took it for evidence.
According to the report, the homeowner said that he saw the victim at his home, but didn't see anything in regards to the robbery. He stated that he did hear an argument and gunshots, but did not see who did it.
