GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – A Georgetown man led law enforcement on a high-speed chase late Monday night before being arrested at the same home where the chase originated from.

According to online records from the Georgetown County Detention Center, Shaquille Terrel Neal, 22, was charged with third-degree domestic violence and failure to stop for a blue light, first offense.

He remained in jail Tuesday under no bond.

An incident report from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office states deputies attempted to serve a warrant on the suspect, who lived in the 5200 block of Exodus Drive. When they arrived, they reportedly saw an SUV backing out of the driveway of the neighboring home. A woman got out of the vehicle and the driver then left the area.

Deputies began to give chase, with the suspect heading toward U.S. 701 at a high rate of speed, the report stated.

The chase continued on U.S. 701, heading north toward Horry County, before the suspect turned left onto Pleasant Hill Drive.

At one point, the chase reportedly hit speeds of 110 mph. It eventually continued onto Carvers Bay Road and Old Pee Dee Road before ending in the 5200 block of Exodus Drive, the same area where it began, the report stated.

Neal was served the initial warrant for third-degree domestic violence while at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
