Aynor man charged with attempted murder in Christmas Day shooting

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder Sunday, according to J Reuben Long Detention’s website.

A Conway police report states that on Dec. 25, officers were called to 9th Avenue and Church Street for a vehicle accident. En route to the collision, officers were notified that a shooting had occurred.

Upon arrival, the officers secured the scene. They were told that there was a male victim.

Along with attempted murder, Curtis Charles Johnson of Aynor was charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, sale or delivery of pistol to and possession by certain persons unlawful, and failure to appear.

He is currently being held at the J Reuben Long Detention Center.
