CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Two Coastal Carolina University students have joined the community's fight against heroin by beginning to survey people on their perceptions and experiences with drugs.
The purpose of the Addiction and Perceptions of Addiction Survey is "to learn more about addiction and the perceptions of addiction among all members of the community."
It was created by CCU Swain Scholars program participants Sydney Brown and Ashley Lynch as part of The Horry Hope Initiative. They're hoping the survey spurs educational programs and raises awareness about the dangers of heroin and opioids.
The 24-question survey is available online and in paper form. The students are looking to get a diverse group of participants.
