CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – A Conway man on probation for his role in a 2010 murder was arrested on Friday on drug charges.
According to a press release from the Conway Police Department, Kwmane Jutei Green, 27, was charged with possession of cocaine; possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute in close proximity of a school; possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute; and possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute in close proximity of a school.
Online records from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center state Green remains in jail Friday evening under no bond.
The CPD release stated officers responded to the area near 201 Graduate Road in reference to suspicious activity involving a parked vehicle.
When officers found the suspect in the vehicle, it was determined he was wanted for violation of his probation, according to the release.
Records from the Horry County Public Index state Green pleaded guilty in April 2012 to accessory after the fact to murder. He was sentenced under the Youthful Offender Act to a term not to exceed six years, and ordered to shock incarceration.
Green was one of five people arrested in 2010 and charged in connection with the death of 21-year-old Eric Salters, whose body was found along Ridgefield Circle in Conway. The victim suffered a gunshot wound.
