MULLINS, SC (WMBF) – The suspect in an attempted bank robbery in Mullins was arrested in Florida.

According to Mullins Police Capt. Joe Graham, the attempted robbery happened around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderson Brothers Bank. Graham said the suspect was identified as Justin Lee Malcolm based on gathered evidence. Because he is currently incarcerated in Florida, warrants were served for his extradition to South Carolina. Graham said he could be facing additional charges in Florida.

A tweet from the department's official Twitter account shows a still from surveillance footage taken inside the bank at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information as to the individual's identity is asked to call the Mullins Police Department at (843) 464-0707.

Graham said more information would be released Thursday.
