Bond set for Mullins mother accused of joining fight at Mullins High School

MULLINS, SC (WMBF) – A $12,130 bond was set Friday afternoon for a 35-year-old Mullins mother arrested on Thursday after allegedly getting involved in a fight between two 16-year-old students at Mullins High School.

Leiquenta Grant faces charges of disturbing schools and third-degree assault by mob. She has an initial municipal court date of April 5 on the first charge, and a general sessions court appearance set for May 1 on the second.

Grant is the mother of one of the two 16-year-old girls who were reportedly fighting at Mullins High, Mullins Police Capt. Joe Graham previously said.

The suspect's daughter faces the same counts as Grant, while the other student is charged with third-degree assault, Graham said.
