FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A bus transporting nine students from Florence School District 3 was rear-ended Friday morning; one student was taken to the hospital after complaining of lower back pain.
The bus was rear-ended while stopped on Green Road, according to a news release from FSD3.
In addition to the driver, the bus was carrying students form Lake City High School, Ronald E. McNair Junior High School, J. Paul Truluck Intermediate School, and the Alternative Center for Education, an FSD3 officials stated.
One student was taken by ambulance to McLeod Regional Medical Center, according to the release. The other students were taken to the health clinic at Lake City High School where the school nurse assessed them for injuries.
Parents of all students involved were notified, the release states.
