MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A mobile dental office will be providing free dental care to local veterans Thursday at TicketReturn.com Field at the Pelicans Ballpark.

Aspen Dental’s Mouth Mobile will be at the field, located at 1251 21st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., providing free dental care to veterans, in partnership with the Eastern Carolina Homelessness Organization, according to a news release from the company.

Veterans must make appointments to receive care; appointments can be made by contacting Sean Scurlock at 843-213-1798.

"The need for free dental care in the veteran community is astounding," the release states. "The VA only covers dental care for veterans who are 100% disabled or have a direct injury to their mouth."

This is the fifth of 35 stops in a nationwide tour for MouthMobile to support veterans, and South Carolina is the third state.
