Myrtle Beach Pelicans to celebrate little league opening day

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Splash and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans are taking their game day 'show' on the road.

The Pelicans will help the Surfside Beach Youth Sports Association celebrate their opening day on Saturday, March 11, at Huckabee Park Complex, located on Spanish Oak Drive.

The event will kick off at 9 a.m. with team introductions and the singing of the national anthem. Game action will immediately follow.

The 'show' will include player introductions, walk-up music, and between-inning promotional contests such as sumo wrestling, pony hops and more.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans' opening day will be on Wednesday, April 5, when they host the Charleston RiverDogs. Tickets are available here
