DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The juvenile who escaped from the Darlington County Courthouse last month was located Friday morning and is now in custody, officials confirmed.
The juvenile was located with the help of Hartsville Police and is now in custody at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, said Lt. Robert Kilgo with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office.
A deputy was placed on administrative leave after the juvenile escaped from the Darlington County Court House Tuesday, February 21, according to a press release. The deputy had custody of eight juveniles following a family court hearing at the courthouse. It happened around 2 p.m.
