FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – Florence police arrested the person Wednesday who robbed a Subway restaurant March 2.

According to information from Florence Police Lt. Mike Brandt, officers responded to the Subway at 503 E. Palmetto St. at 7:04 p.m. in reference to the robbery.

Police learned a man entered the restaurant and demanded the employees give him the money from the register. The suspect, Michael Ray Allen, got the cash and was last seen heading east on Palmetto Street in a white Volkswagen Jetta, Brandt said.

Just after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Florence police officers and agents with South Carolina Law Enforcement Division found Allen in a motel room near US 52 and I-95.
