HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County police participated in “High 5 and Handshake Rally” with Forestbrook Elementary School last Friday, according to information from the school.

The High 5 and Handshake Rally is a joint effort between the school and the police department, and developed as a way to strengthen relationships between the school community and the law enforcement, the post states.

When children arrived at school officers and police vehicles were on campus with blue lights flashing. Those officers also greeted children as they got off the bus or out of the car and offer them an encouraging handshake or high five to start their day.
