Chocolate Chip Cookies

On the fourth day of the WMBF News Christmas Cookie Countdown brought to you by Croissants Bistro and Bakery, we’re showing you how to make a cookie classic: Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Ingredients
2 1/4 cup AP flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 pound margarine
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Whisk together flour. baking soda. and set aside.
Cream together margarine with sugars.
Add egg and vanilla.
Gradually add in flour mixture.
Add chocolate chips until just combined.
Scoop into 1-inch balls and bake about 8 minutes or until golden brown.

If you don't feel like baking, you can always head down to Croissants, where they will have cookie trays available every day until Christmas!

    A South Carolina Department of Transportation contractor was injured Monday morning after a tractor the worker was driving was struck by a vehicle on Highway 31, according to Pete Poore with the SCDOT. Poore confirms the contractor was cutting grass.

    A second suspect was arrested last week in connection to the deadly May 25 shooting at the Koyote Saloon, according to Cpt. John Harrelson with the Horry County Police Department. Joey Lee Henry, 30, of Green Sea, is charged with murder.
