Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies

On the third day of the WMBF News Christmas Cookie Countdown brought to you by Croissants Bistro and Bakery, we’re showing you how to make: Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Ingredients
3 cups AP flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup softened butter
11/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
green food coloring
6 oz Andes Creme de Methe Baking Chips
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, tartar, and salt. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, green food coloring, and peppermint extract.
Gradually add dry ingredients.
Add mint and chocolate chips.
Chill for about two hours.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and bake for 10 minutes.

If you don't feel like baking, you can always head down to Croissants, where they will have cookie trays available every day until Christmas!

    A Longs man was struck by a vehicle in Atlantic Beach Wednesday evening, and died in the hospital that night. Horace Evans, 65, was struck by a vehicle while walking at Highway 17 and 30th Avenue South in Atlantic Beach at 5:30 p.m., according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.
