Man hurt in reported shooting

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man was transported to the hospital following a reported shooting early Tuesday morning, according to Myrtle Beach Police.

Officials were called to the area of Chester Street and 6th Avenue North around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses said they heard an argument and a gunshot before finding the male victim laying in a parking lot, according to Sergeant Clothier.

The victim was speaking with police at the scene and his injuries do not appear to be life threatening, said Clothier.

The suspect was not at the scene when police arrived, but they do have a description.

This is an ongoing investigation.
