MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The ex-fiancé of “Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans is behind bars at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Nathan Griffith, 29, was arrested Monday by Horry County Police, according to the jail’s website. He was faces charges for public possession of open containers and for giving false information to law enforcement, fire department, or rescue department. He is being held on more than $500 bond.

Griffith was also wanted by Myrtle Beach Police for domestic violence after allegedly choking another ex-girlfriend, according to a police report. Officers responded to the victim’s home early Sunday morning, according to the report, the victim and Griffith got into an argument after returning home from a bar.

Griffith then got on top of the victim and began choking her, the report states. The victim started yelling, and the victim’s roommate came in and told Griffith he had to leave. Griffith went outside and started yelling, then left just before police arrived.

He was booked on charges for that incident around 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Myrtle Beach Police Department’s website.

Griffith is the ex-fiancé of Jenelle Evans, the star of MTV reality series “Teen Mom 2,” and like her, this was not his first brush with the law. In March of 2015, Griffith was arrested for domestic violence at the filming location of Teen Mom 2 after he allegedly pinned the victim to a toilet and tried to remove an engagement ring from her finger.
