Highway Patrol searching for driver in fatal hit-and-run in Horry County

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking for information on the fatal collision near Little River on December 2 that left a 47-year-old pedestrian dead.

Horatio Johnson Junior, of Myrtle Beach, was struck and killed by a vehicle at about 4:10 a.m. on Friday, December 2, on Highway 57 near Gore Road, according to the SCHP and the county coroner.

The Highway Patrol has identified the involved vehicle as a 1999 to 2005 Pontiac Grand Am with possible front-end and/or undercarriage damage.

Anyone with information about the collision or the vehicle is asked to call SCHP at 843-661-4705, 1-800-768-1505, or call *HP from a cell phone. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
