MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A woman was arrested for attempted murder and arson after an officer responded to the Ocean Reef Resort in reference to a fire on Tuesday around 2:30 a.m., according to online records.

Dawn Alivia Jordan went to the front desk of the resort and told them that her room was on fire and that someone was in the bed, the police report states.

An officer said that he kicked the door open, and a lot of smoke came from inside the room. He yelled to see if anyone was inside, but no one answered.

Shortly later, firefighters came and found a victim unresponsive in the back corner of the room.

The victim was then transported to the hospital.

The officer realized that Jordan had a warrant, and she was taken to the Myrtle Beach jail.

The Myrtle Beach jail says Jordan had a bond hearing Wednesday morning at 9:00, and her bond was denied on both charges by a City of Myrtle Beach Municipal Court judge.
