Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WMBF) - Wilson High School defensive end Xavier Thomas is among the top junior prospects in the nation, however he won't be playing his senior season in the Pee-Dee.
Thomas announced on Twitter this evening he is transferring to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
IMG is seen as a prep school for athletes and boasts one of the top prep football programs in the nation.
In his junior season at Wilson, Xavier recorded 131 tackles and seven sacks.
Thomas is being recruited by Clemson, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida State, and Ohio State among others. He said his decision to transfer schools will not affect where he chooses to play in college.
