CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Two suspects are in custody following the armed robbery of the Happy Glass Company at 140 University Plaza in the Conway area early Tuesday evening.

Horry County Police Sgt. Heather Adkins said officers with the Conway Police Department pulled over the suspects' vehicle, a Nissan Altima, at the Arby's location in the city following the robbery of the smoke shop.

At that point, the driver and the passenger took off, with one heading in the direction of a nearby Pizza Hut and the other running toward the neighboring Chick-fil-A, according to Adkins.

Both males were eventually apprehended and no shots were fired, according to law enforcement. Two guns were reportedly recovered.

The names of the suspects and their specific charges were not immediately available.
