MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach man was arrested Tuesday and charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to online records from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center, Leslie Bryan Smith, 59, remained incarcerated Tuesday night under no bond on the 10 counts, which are second-degree.
Arrest warrants from the South Carolina Attorney General's Office allege the suspect, on or about Nov. 9, did "willfully and unlawfully distribute, transport, exhibit, receive, sell, purchase, exchange or solicit material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaged in sexual activity or appearing in a state of sexually explicit nudity."
The suspect reportedly had an LG cellphone in his possession.
According to information on the sex offender registry, Smith is listed as an adult tier III offender.
He was previously convicted in January 2013 on a charge of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, and a Jan. 14, 2016 conviction for criminal sexual conduct in the third degree, according to the sex offender registry.
