CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – A Conway man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly shooting his son following an argument.
According to information from the Horry County Police Department, Thomas M. Lewis, 41, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He remained in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center Monday under a $14,000 bond, according to online jail records.
According to HCPD officials, officers responded to the Conway Medical Center after a victim came to the emergency room with a gunshot wound.
During the investigation, officers determined the 18-year-old was shot by his father after an argument about going to the store for a can of tobacco, according to the HCPD.
