Lanes reopened after vehicle fire backs up traffic on S.C. 31

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A vehicle fire temporarily blocked all lanes of travel on S.C. 31 near S.C. 22, according to information from the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

The vehicle was located on the southbound side of S.C. 31, approximately 0.1 mile north of Water Tower Road, according to the SCDOT.

Lance Cpl. Matt Southern with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said he is not aware of any injuries at this time.

The North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety said all lanes had been reopened as of 6:10 p.m.
