One person in custody, one at large following fatal shooting at Timmonsville lounge

TIMMONSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – One person was killed Friday night following a shooting at a Timmonsville lounge.

According to information from Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken, Richard Junior Ennis, 41, of Timmonsville, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

The shooting happened at BJ’s Lounge, located at 804 N. Brockington St., von Lutcken said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday morning at the Medical University of South Carolina. 

According to Florence County Sheriff's Maj. Mike Nunn, Roderick Commander, of Lynchburg, has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

Online records from the Florence County Detention Center state Commander has been charged with murder.

A second suspect, John Wesley Hicks Jr., 24, of Lynchburg, remains at large, Nunn said.

Hicks is described as a black male standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
