It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is just one week away starting off the Holiday season when so many of us get to be with family and celebrate all we have to be thankful for.

But some people in our community have had struggles this year and need a little help. WMBF News  has partnered with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program to help provide Christmas gifts and necessities for children in need.

There are more than 1,500 “Angels” available for adoption in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee.

You can adopt an angel by choosing one from an Angel Tree set up at several locations in our community including Coastal Grand mall and Magnolia Mall.  You can also do it online. Once you adopt an angel you will be given the child’s name, their clothing size, age and a wish list.

Consider the impact that your time and generosity will have on a child right here in our community and pick up an angel as you head out on your fun and exciting holiday shopping spree knowing you are going to make a difference in someone’s life.
