HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Two Georgia residents have been charged in connection with the death of a man whose remains were found in an Horry County field last week.

According to information from Horry County Police Lt. Raul Denis, Johnathan Lamar Hillary, 29, was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Additionally, Bernithia Young, 33, was charged with accessory after the fact to a felony, and booked into the J Reuben Long Detention Center on Sunday.

During a bond hearing, Young was denied bond.

Their charges stem from the disappearance and death of Timothy Buckley, who was reported missing on Sept. 30, according to Denis.

Buckley’s remains were found in a field off of U.S. 501, near Rodeo Drive, on Nov. 10.

Hillary will also be extradited back to Horry County from Atlanta accordingly, Denis said.
