2 McDonald's employees shot in Lumberton Friday night

LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – Two employees at the McDonald’s on Roberts Avenue in Lumberton were shot Friday night, but their injuries are not life-threatening, according to Captain Terry Parker with the Lumberton Police Department.

The employees were shot at about 9:45 p.m. Friday after they asked the shooter and a group that was with the shooter to move their car for a delivery truck, Capt. Parker said.

After the shooting, the group left in the car, Capt. Parker said.

The injuries sustained by the McDonald’s employees were non-life-threatening, and they are expected to recover, Capt. Parker said.

Police do not have a description of the shooter, the group, or the vehicle involved. Anyone with information that could aid police is asked to contact the Lumberton Police Department.
