CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – A Florida man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Easton, Massachusetts was arrested Saturday in Conway.

Michael A. Noguera, 47, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, was arrested on November 12 at a residence on Canine Drive in the Conway area, according to a news release from Horry County Police. Noguera is being held as a fugitive at the Horry County Detention Center as he awaits extradition to Massachusetts.

Noguera is being charged in Massachusetts with accessory to murder-after the fact, armed robbery and larceny over $250, according to WHDH, the NBC affiliate in Boston. Police said the Massachusetts charges are all connected to the shooting of 35-year-old Daniel G. Smith.

Easton Police received a 911 call from an Easton woman who told police her young sons found a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the woods, WHDH reports. Police immediately responded to the area between Pond Street and Longwater Pond.

The DA said he was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. He was then med-flighted to Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, where he was pronounced dead on Friday night, according to WHDH. Smith formerly lived in Easton.
