HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County Government has initiated another outdoor burning ban effective until further notice for unincorporated portions of the county.
According to a press release sent Friday afternoon, the ban has been placed due to low relative humidity, dry ground conditions, density of houses and the continued presence of widespread vegetative debris caused by Hurricane Matthew.
Outdoor burning is strictly prohibited until further notice. If such burning occurs, it would be in violation of law.
