MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A 36-year-old woman tried to bite an officer on the hand and arm, and then drove her knee into his crotch twice while being arrested for public intoxication, according to a Myrtle Beach Police report.
Tracy West-Barfield was arrested on Thursday and charged with threatening the life of a public employee, third-degree assault and battery, public intoxication, and resisting arrest, according to police records.
The report states that while an officer was trying to arrest West-Barfield for public intoxication, she tried to bite the officer on the hand and arm several times, but was unable to do so. She then spun around and drove her knee twice into the officer's crotch, making solid contact. She tried to knee him a third time, but was unsuccessful. She was then brought to the ground.
West-Barfield was then arrested, charged, and taken to an area hospital.
