HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A 32-year-old Myrtle Beach man is accused of taking pictures male victims, who appear to be unconscious, and manipulating their genitals.

Shannon Demetrius Jefferson was arrested on Monday on charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and voyeurism.

During an Horry County Police investigation, several images were located that depicted Jefferson taking pictures of male victims, who appeared to be unconscious, and manipulating their penises, according to a police report.

Investigators identified the victims in one of the pictures, and made contact with him on October 17. The victim told police that had had hung out with Jefferson at a bar in Myrtle Beach the previous day. The victim said that he had hung out with the suspect that day and consumed a “quantity of alcohol” before returning to Jefferson’s home.

Police then showed the victim a picture of him and Jefferson together at a bar. The victim said that the photo was taken the night of October 2. Police then showed the victim a photo of Jefferson manipulating the victim’s penis and asked if the victim remembered that happening, or if he was a willing participant. The victim said he was not, and was visibly upset.

Jefferson was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday, October 31, and released on Tuesday on a $8,500 bond.

Several people who live on the side streets of Ocean Blvd. in North Myrtle Beach recently received a letter saying they need to get rid of obstructions in front of their homes. The city says that’s because the space could be used for public parking. Around 30 people came out to the city council meeting on Monday to speak out about the issue.
