HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Another outdoor burning ban has been initiated in specific areas of Horry County, as of Tuesday, November 1, according to Horry County Government's press release.
The burning ban will be effective until further notice in the following locations:
- All properties east of US Highway 31 (the beach side)
- All properties east of Highway 17 in Little River to the state line
- All properties on the south end east of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway to the Georgetown County line
"The ban has been reinstated due to low relative humidity, dry ground conditions, density of houses, proximity to municipal limits, and the continued presence of widespread vegetative debris caused by Hurricane Matthew," the release states.
