DILLON, SC (WMBF) – One person was injured and a school was placed on temporary lockdown Friday afternoon following a shooting in Dillon.
According to Capt. Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m., on U.S. 301 North. One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries, he added.
Dillon High School went on lockdown following the shooting, Arnette said. Everyone at the school was safe.
No arrests had immediately been made.
