MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man was caught with a steak down his pants at a Myrtle Beach supermarket Thursday, and he was arrested for shoplifting along with a woman who had an Oreo parfait in her hoodie, according to a Myrtle Beach Police report.
A loss prevention employee at the Food Lion at 1403 S. Kings Highway told police that at about 7:30 p.m., he saw 22-year-old TJ Kyle Trakas and 26-year-old Anna May Oman walk to the meat department, the report states. The employee saw Trakas select two ribeye steaks, then stick the meat down his pants and cover it with his shirt.
Trakas and Oman then paid for a soda at the register before being stopped by the loss prevention employee, according to the report. They were taken to the office, and it was discovered that Oman had an Oreo parfait in her hoodie. The total value of the items was $16.60.
Trakas and Oman were arrested, charged with shoplifting, and taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail.
