FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – A man is facing charges more than two months after a deadly hit and run in Florence.
Sheldon Davis of Florence was arrested Friday, October 21 on a charge for hit and run involving death, according to Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department.
Davis's arrest is the result of a 2-month long investigation of the crash on the 400 block of S. Church Street on August 20, said Brandt.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital after the accident but did not survive.
In September, officials released an update on the case with a vehicle description. They were looking for a blue Chevy Cobalt with a rear spoiler and tinted windows.
The victim's name was not released by officials.
Davis is currently held at the Florence County Detention center without bond.
