Myrtle Beach Police personnel who served in armed forces presented handmade 'Quilts of Valor'

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach Police personnel who also served in the armed forces were presented with handmade quilts as part of the Quilts of Valor program Monday.

The one-of-a-kind quilts were presented to personnel who served in the armed forces during a time of conflict, the name of the quilt maker was announced, and the quilt was draped around the officer’s shoulders at the presentation Monday afternoon, according to a Facebook post from MBPD.

Over 146,000 handmade quilts have been presented to veterans around the country as part of the program. Learn more about the Quilts of Valor foundation here: http://www.qovf.org/.
