Police charge man for allegedly robbing three Georgetown businesses

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – Georgetown police arrested a suspect wanted in connection with the armed robbery of three businesses on North Fraser Street.

According to information on the Georgetown Police Department’s Facebook page, Harold Fitzgerald Wilson, 48, has been charged with three counts of armed robbery after allegedly robbing the three businesses Sunday morning.

The first robbery reportedly took place at the Sunoco at 2:18 a.m., according to the GPD. The second business hit was the Walmart at 4:40 a.m., followed by the North Fraser Street Walgreens at 11 a.m.

Wilson allegedly took an undisclosed amount of cash from each location. He was later arrested on Merriman Road as he was leaving the scene of the last robbery, according to the GPD.

Online jail records indicate Wilson remains in the Georgetown County Detention Center Monday under no bond.
