MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Between the candy, decorations and costumes, Halloween can be a pricey celebration.
However, it doesn't have to be if a little creativity is used. Here are some spots to find spooky good deals this fright season.
Goodwill Halloween Bootique
Shoppers need look no further than the nearest Palmetto Goodwill store to find a unique Halloween costume guaranteed to impress friends and family without breaking the bank.
Each year, millions of people shop Goodwill stores to find the pieces they need to create amazing Halloween costumes for less. Anne Hanzel, Goodwill Stores' district manager, said they try to make all the costumes affordable.
"The most expensive item that you will find here in our Halloween Bootique is $5.99," she said. Anything else is going to be under that price so you can get a dress for $5.99, you can get a fedora for your gangster costume for $5.
Whether individuals are looking for the perfect white shirt to complete a pirate or vampire costume, or a vintage ball gown to become a zombie princess or prom queen, Goodwill has the clothing, shoes and accessories needed.
"It's all based on your creativity. We have all kinds of neat black clothes, dresses, mini skirts, capes and we also have real cool witch hats and brooms to accessorize," said Hanzel.
Although Halloween items will be available in all Palmetto Goodwill retail stores, the Halloween Bootique, located at the Carolina Forest Goodwill store location, will serve as Halloween headquarters. It will be outfitted with additional costumes and accessories such as makeup, wigs, masks, hats, feather boas and other items to take that holiday look to the next level.
"This is our first year for a full-blown Halloween Bootique. We have made a great effort to make it as easy and affordable for our customers to create unique Halloween ideas," said Hanzel.
Once Upon A Child
Gather the little ghouls and goblins and head to the Once upon a Child near Surfside Beach.

"What's popular right now is definitely superheroes," Rayfield said. "Superheroes with the Avengers, and then of course you have the ladybugs, bumble bees and the zombies."
The costume ideas will change each year, so bring in the old to get cash or trade.
Once Upon a Child is located at 2727 Beaver Run Blvd., in Surfside Beach.
