Horry County police distributed over 8K pounds of food items to Hurricane Matthew victims

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County’s officers distributed over 8,000 pounds of food items to Buck Creek Baptist Church in Longs, for flood victims on Tuesday, October 18, according to Captain Stan Strickland with HCPD.

Food was provided to the Nichols and Green Sea, SC area, the Crusoe, North Carolina area and the Lumberton, North Carolina area, Capt. Strickland said.

Trucks from each area came to the church and they loaded their vehicles with the food.

After the trucks were loaded, local citizens living in the Longs area and in the Pireway, NC area were given food.
