Florence County holds blood drive Wednesday

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Florence County is holding a blood drive at their recreation department located at 710 S. Irby Street on Wednesday, October 19, beginning at 9:00 a.m., according to Florence County Risk Manager Tony Lewis.

There is an extreme shortage of available blood donations mainly due to hurricane Matthew, says Lewis.

    MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has granted individual assistance to several counties, according to Congressman Tom RIce. In a Facebook post from the Congressman, it is said: Dillon and Marlboro have been granted Public Assistance, in addition to Horry and Marion.
