FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an armed robbery suspect who robbed a Check and Go while brandishing a weapon.

According to an FCSO press release, the incident happened on Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Check and Go located at 2716 W. Palmetto St. The person reportedly came into the store and robbed the store clerks at gunpoint before fleeing with an undetermined amount of money.

Investigators said the perpetrator was wearing a white jogging suit, had a bandana over his face and was possibly wearing a woman’s wig.

Witnesses estimate the suspect was 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build, the release stated.
