FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – A 20-year-old Timmonsville man was arrested Thursday and accused of shooting and killing an 18-year-old from Timmonsville on or about September 24 near Victor White Road, where the teen’s remains were discovered on October 10.

Briheem Anthony Williams was arrested by investigators on October 13 and charged with the murder of 18-year-old Bobby Junior Evans, according to a news release from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Evans’ family had reported him missing on October 3, and he had last been seen on or about September 15, according to an earlier news release from FCSO.

On October 10, investigators and the Florence County Coroner’s Office responded to the discovery of human remains near Victor White Road near Timmonsville. Coroner Keith VonLutcken ordered a forensic autopsy that confirmed the remains to be Evans, and further listed the cause of death to be a gunshot to the head.

Investigators allege that on or about September 24, Williams shot and killed Evans at or near where his body was later found.

Williams was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime, and is being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing before a circuit court judge, according to the FCSO release.
