Haunted attractions offer scares everywhere this month

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Haunted attractions across the Grand Strand are serving up plenty of scares this October. Here are details on some of them:

Coastal Haunts

Coastal Haunts opens on October 17 at the Myrtle Beach Mall next to Bass Pro

This year is bigger badder and scarier than ever, with an 11,000 square foot space at the Myrtle Beach Mall. There will be two terrifying haunted attractions: The Asylum Nightmare and The Black Hole, and three escape rooms: The Carnival, The Boathouse, and The Laboratory.

This year, Coastal Haunts is teaming up with three non-profit organizations: Caleb's Dragonfly Dreams, Barnabus Horse Foundation, St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Dr. Screams

Dr. Screams is hosting two terrifying locations this year: one at Broadway at the Beach and one at the House of Blues.

The Broadway at the Beach location will run from October 14 to October 31, and is located in between Carmike 17 and Big D Theater, across from Dragon's Lair Putt Putt, formally Magiest.

Nightmare Haunted House Presents Zombie Zone Undead Adventure

"Myrtle Beach's Scariest Dark Attraction Since 1989" is back with all new screams for 2016. The haunted house is located at 1001 North Ocean Boulevard, and is open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. until late, and from noon until late on Saturday and Sunday.

Terror Under the Bridge

For 2016, Terror Under the Bridge will be back at the X Sports Mall in the heart of Myrtle Beach. The annual attraction is in its 11th year. "Other Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach Haunted Houses put on shows, but this is the real deal!" the website claims.

This haunted house is running from October 21 to October 31, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night. X Gym Sports Mall is located at 568 George Bishop Parkway.
