MARION COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Officials with Marion County Emergency Management advise that flooding in portions of the county is becoming dire and residents should evacuate.
According to a post on the MCEM Facebook page, the situation in and near Gresham and Brittion's Neck on the Little Pee Dee River is "deteriorating."
"Residents can get out now, but as conditions worsen, you may or may not be able to leave," the post read. "Emergency responders at that time may not be able to reach you."
Those who leave can seek shelter at Marion High School, located at 1205 S. Main St., in Marion.
