State fundraising efforts continue in the wake of Hurricane Matthew

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Gov. Nikki Haley is extending fundraising efforts to help South Carolinians impacted by Hurricane Matthew and the river flooding it created.

To date the One S.C. Fund has raised $2 million to help with recovery efforts since last year’s October flood.

Now, the state is faced with a new a challenge following Matthew.

    On the holiday where most people spend it with family and friends, the Darlington County Sheriff’s office is spending their Thanksgiving giving back to those who may not have that opportunity. This morning the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office delivered Thanksgiving meals to local senior and homebound citizens.
