MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – According to Spokeswoman Nicole Aiello, Santee Cooper will be de-energizing some lines and customers may be without power on Tuesday, October 11.
Aiello said some customers will experience outages of 15 minutes or less, but this de-energizing is necessary to keep the men and women working on the lines safe.
The outage should only last for a short period of time, according to Aiello.
Customers should report an outage only if they have been out for more than 15 minutes.
Santee Cooper has 4,067 customers without power in Georgetown County and 21,313 customers without power in Horry County, according to Santee Cooper's website.
