Georgetown County opening distribution points to provide residents with supplies

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Georgetown County officials are opening up four distribution locations to provide supplies for residents impacted by Hurricane Matthew.

According to public information officer Jackie Broach, the supplies will include meals ready to eat (MREs) and water.

The distribution points are:

  • Brown’s Ferry Elementary School – 7292 Browns Ferry Road, Georgetown
  • McDonald Elementary School – 532 McDonald Road, Georgetown
  • Olive Park – Olive Street, Andrews
  • St. Paul AME Church – 2569 Powell Road, Georgetown

Locations will open at 8 a.m., starting Tuesday. Each person will be limited to two MREs and one gallon of water.

The distribution points will remain open until supplies are depleted.
