LIVE NOW: Gov. Haley gives update on aftermath of Matthew

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF/WISTV) - Gov. Nikki Haley, along with state and local emergency officials, will be holding a 1 p.m. news conference to discuss the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.

Matthew made landfall Saturday morning in South Carolina as a category 2 storm at McClellanville -- the same town that incurred the wrath of Hurricane Hugo 27 years ago.

Haley is expected to discuss the latest in power outages, shelters in the state, and continued emergency relief efforts along the coast of South Carolina.

At last check, almost 375,000 South Carolina residents remain without power following Saturday's landfall.
