HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County has suspended emergency operations because of the dangerous conditions brought by Hurricane Matthew, according to a tweet from the Horry County Emergency Management Department.
"Too dangerous for first responders and emergency vehicles to be on the roads," the tweet states. "Stay put and off the roads."
"We're strongly urging everyone to stay put, stay where they are, and stay off the roads," said Brooke Holden with Horry County EMD. All fire trucks, ambulances and other emergency vehicles are no longer driving in Horry County, she said.
